You Can Use Flexible Gas Pipe to Run a Natural Gas Line

When you are installing a new gas fireplace or stove, you will need to run a natural gas line to the unit. You will find that you can choose from traditional iron gas pipe and flexible gas pipe for making the connection from the gas line to your fireplace or stove. Flexible pipe line is less expensive and easier to install and requires fewer accessories. You will need male or female connectors, termination plates, a spool of Teflon tape, a bottle leak detector, and a bonding clamp, along with your flexible gas line, all of which comes in our kits.

Before Installing Flexible Gas Pipe Shut Off the Gas

While installing flexible gas pipe to connect a new appliance, fireplace or stove to your natural gas line, you will want to take several precautions. You will want to shut off the natural gas line where it enters the home. Pilot lights will go out and should no longer be lit once the gas supply has been shut off. Once you verify the gas is off, you can install your new gas pipe line.
